Mencia De was born about 1532. Mencia De's father was Antoine De Glymes and her mother was Jacqueline De Croy. Her paternal grandparents were Jean III De Glymes and Adrienne De Brimeu; her maternal grandparents were Henri De Croy and Charlotte De Chateaubriand. She was an only child.
