Nellie Mae was born on October 14th, 1894 in Glendale, PA. Nellie Mae's father was John Silas McKee and her mother was Mary Margaret Gates. Her maternal grandparents were Isaac Gates and Mary Troxell. She had two brothers named Frederick Miller and John Edward. She was the second oldest of the three children. She had a half-sister named Willa. She died at the age of 77 on September 8th, 1972.General Notes
