John Calep Getz 
John Calep was born on October 13th, 1783 in Wurttemburg, Germany. He died at the age of 78 on February 15th, 1862.General Notes
John Getz left Germany to avoid the military service. Coming across France, he met his future wife, Elizabeth, and persuaded her to come with him to America. They first arrived in Maryland and then migrated around the area of Cambria County, PA. (paraphrased from handwritten notes generously provided to me by Teresa McKee:

They had six sons and four daughters, named Michael, Nathan, Levi, Isaac, Joel, William, Susan, Margaret, Sarah and Elizabeth Matilda.

Isaac was born on September 7th, 1818. He died at the age of 58 on October 26th, 1876 in Flinton, PA.
