Jonathan was born on March 13th, 1771 in Henrico, VA. Jonathan's father was John Johnson and his mother was Lydia Hutchins. His paternal grandparents are Ashley Johnson and Nm Stanley; his maternal grandparents were Strangeman+ Hutchins and Elizabeth+ Cox. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Strangeman, Benjamin, Ashley, Lydia, Agatha and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 79 on March 9th, 1851 in Surry, NC.General Notes
