Matilda Elizabeth Gates 
Matilda Elizabeth was born on April 1st, 1843. Matilda Elizabeth's father was Isaac Gates and her mother was Mary Troxell. Her paternal grandparents were John Calep Getz and Elizabeth Geauvey; her maternal grandparents were John Troxell and Mary Mathew. She had four brothers and two sisters, named John C., Lafayette M., Joel A., Commodore Perry, Mary Margaret and Hannah Jane. She is the oldest of the seven children.General Notes
