William Jessie Gaines 
William Jessie was born on October 24th, 1860 in NE. William Jessie's father was Richard A. Gaines and his mother was Abigail Jane York. His paternal grandparents were William B. Gaines and Mary Callahan; his maternal grandfather is Jesse York and his maternal grandmother was Mary Polly Watts. He had a brother and a sister, named John and Lucy. He was the second oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 77 on November 30th, 1937 in Watson, Atchison, MO. He was buried in High Creek Cemetery, Atchison, MO.General Notes
