Elizabeth was born on November 8th, 1757 in Culpepper Co., VA. Elizabeth's father was Henry Gaines and her mother was Ann Martha George. Her paternal grandparents were William Henry Gaines and Isabella Mary Pendleton; her maternal grandparents were Richard George and Elizabeth Ann Mayo. She had a brother and a sister, named Richard H. and Nancy. She was the youngest of the three children. She died at the age of 77 on July 31st, 1835 in Pleasant Plains, Sangamon, IL.General Notes
