Solomon Preston was born on April 12th, 1796 in Mason Co., KY. Solomon Preston's father was Henry Emerson Brandenburg and his mother was Sarah Henrietta Preston. His paternal grandparents were Matthias Brandenburg and Hester Wulgemacht. He was an only child. He died at the age of 65 on December 28th, 1861 in Hutton Twp., Coles Co., IL.
