Einar, known as "Turf", was born about 0852 in Maer, More og Romsdal, Norway.  "Turf"'s father was Earl Ragnvald ("the Wise") Eysteinsson I of Orkney and his mother is Princess Groa of Trondheim.  His paternal grandparents are Eystein ("the Noisy", "Glumrw") Ivarsson and Aseda Jutland; his maternal grandfather was King Wrymund of Trondheim. He had three half-brothers named Hrollager, Robert and "the Silent".  He died in 0910 in Orkney, Orkney Islands, Scotland.


"Turf"'s family

‌"Turf" were married in a religious ceremony about 0885 in Norway.  He had a biological son named "Hausakliffer" [Skull-splitter].
