Blitildes was born about 0559 in France.  Blitildes' father was King Chlothar ("The Old") Meroving I of the Franks and her mother is Princess Waldrada of the Lombards.  Her paternal grandparents were King Chlodovech ("The Great") I of France and Chrotechilde (St. Clotilda) of Burgundy; her maternal grandfather was King Wacho of the Lombards and her maternal grandmother is Princess Ostrogotha of Gepidae. She had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Charibert, Charibert, Chilperic, Gundwald, Theudelinde, Romilde and Gertrude.  She died in 0603.


Blitildes' family with Senator Ansbertus de Neustrie

‌Blitildes and Ansbertus were married in a religious ceremony about 0561 in Rheims, Marne, Loire-Atlantique, France.  They had two sons and a daughter, named Erchenaud, Arnould Ferreol and Sichilde.
