Chlodovech, known as "The Great", was born about 0463 in Rheims, Marne, Loire-Atlantique, France.  "The Great"'s father was King Childeric I of the Franks and his mother was Princess Basina Thuringia II.  His paternal grandfather was King Merovech of France and his paternal grandmother is Queen Vâerica of France; his maternal grandparents are Basin Thuringia and Basine de Saxe. He had two brothers and a sister, named Chilperich, "l'Enchanteur" and Andelfida. He had a half-brother named Berthar.  He died on November 27th, 0511 in Church of Saint, France.  He was buried in Eglise De Saint Pierre, , , France.


"The Great"'s family with Chrotechilde (St. Clotilda) of Burgundy

‌"The Great" and St. Clotilda were married in a religious ceremony in France.  They had a son and a daughter, named "The Old" and Clotilde.
