His paternal grandfather was King Malaric I de Toxandrie of the Franks and his paternal grandmother is Gallic Belgica of the Franks. He was an only child. He died at the age of 34 in 0384.
‌Richimir and Ascyla were married in a religious ceremony about 0369. They had a son and a daughter, named Theodemir Magnus and Ildegonde.
