Chrotechilde, known as St. Clotilda, was born in 0475 in Bourgogne, Marneogne, France.  St. Clotilda's father was King Chilperich of Burgundy and her mother was Aggripina of Burgundy.  Her paternal grandparents were King Childeric I of the Franks and Princess Basina Thuringia II; her maternal grandfather was Gouverneur Agripin de la Narbonnaise.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 73 on June 3rd, 0548 in Tours, Indre-et-Loire, France.

‌St. Clotilda and "The Great" were married in a religious ceremony in France.  They had a son and a daughter, named "The Old" and Clotilde.
