Petrus (Slot) Sloat 
Petrus (Slot) was born in August 1696 in Hackensack, Bergen Co., Nj. Petrus (Slot)'s father was Jacobus (Slott) Sloat and his mother was Maria Jan de Mareets (Demarest). His paternal grandparents were Pieter Jansen (Slott) Sloat Immigrant and Marritje Jacobse van Winkle; his maternal grandparents were Jean DesMareets Immigrant and Jacomina de Reiner de Waal (Walloon) Immigrant. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Johannes (Slot), Jonathan (Slot), David (Slot), Benjamin (Slot), Eva (Slot), Maria (Slot), Lea (Slot), Sarah (Slot) and Tryntie (Slot). He was the oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 87 on March 19th, 1784 in Franklin Twp., Bergen Co., Nj.1 -
