Jonathan (Slot) was born in October 1712 in Hackensack, Bergen Co., Nj and his baptism took place there on October 19th, 1712.1 Jonathan (Slot)'s father was Jacobus (Slott) Sloat and his mother was Maria Jan de Mareets (Demarest). His paternal grandparents were Pieter Jansen (Slott) Sloat Immigrant and Marritje Jacobse van Winkle; his maternal grandparents were Jean DesMareets Immigrant and Jacomina de Reiner de Waal (Walloon) Immigrant. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Petrus (Slot), Johannes (Slot), David (Slot), Benjamin (Slot), Eva (Slot), Maria (Slot), Lea (Slot), Sarah (Slot) and Tryntie (Slot). He was the fifth youngest of the ten children. He died after 1759 in New York City, Ny.-
