Johannes (Slot) was born in March 1698 in Hackensack, Bergen Co., Nj and his baptism took place on March 10th, 1698 in Hackensack Drc, Nj.1 Johannes (Slot)'s father was Jacobus (Slott) Sloat and his mother was Maria Jan de Mareets (Demarest). His paternal grandparents were Pieter Jansen (Slott) Sloat Immigrant and Marritje Jacobse van Winkle; his maternal grandparents were Jean DesMareets Immigrant and Jacomina de Reiner de Waal (Walloon) Immigrant. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Petrus (Slot), Jonathan (Slot), David (Slot), Benjamin (Slot), Eva (Slot), Maria (Slot), Lea (Slot), Sarah (Slot) and Tryntie (Slot). He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died before May 1699 in Hackensack, Bergen Co., Nj. He was buried in 1783 in Goodwill Church, Montgomery, Ny.2 2 -
