Joshua Newlin 
Joshua was born on October 23rd, 1781 in Chatham Co., North Carolina.1 Joshua's father was Eli Newlin and his mother was Sarah Hadley. His maternal grandparents were Joshua Hadley and Ruth Lindley. He had a brother and three sisters, named John, Ruth, Edith and Mary. He was the second oldest of the five children. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Jeremiah, Jonathan, David and Sarah. He died at the age of 74 on December 19th, 1855 in Marshall, Parke, in. He was buried in West edge of Poplar Grove Cemetery, Marshall, Indiana.1 -
