Ruth Hadley 
Ruth was born on March 14th, 1791 in Chatham County, North Carolina.1 Ruth's father was Simon Hadley and her mother was Elizabeth Thompson. Her paternal grandparents were Joshua Hadley and Ruth Lindley; her maternal grandparents were James Thompson and Martha Chambers. She had eight brothers and five sisters, named James Thompson, Jonathan Thompson, Joshua Thompson, Simon Thompson, John T., Thomas Thompson, Jeremiah Thompson, William Thompson, Martha, Sarah T., Elizabeth T., Eleanor and Mary T.. She was the third oldest of the fourteen children. She died at the age of 76 on February 2nd, 1868.1 -
