Judicael was born about 0975. Judicael's father was Duke "the Crooked", Duke of Brittan (The Crooked) Conan I and his mother was Ermengarde D'Anjou. His paternal grandfather was Ct. (Juhel) Berenger of Rennes Judicael II and his paternal grandmother is Gerberge; his maternal grandparents were Ct. 'Grisegonnelle' Comte d' Anjou (Grisegonnelle (grey mantle)) Geoffroy I and Adelais (Adelaide) of Vermandois. He had three brothers and a sister, named of Rennes, , Count of Brienne, Geoffrey I Duke of and Judith Princess of. He is the third oldest of the five children.General Notes
