Adele was born about 0970 in West Friesland, Holland.1   Adele's father was "The Great" Count of Frisia Arnulf and her mother was Liutgard Countess of Luxembourg.  Her paternal grandparents were Count of West Friesland Dietrich II and Hildegarde of Flanders; her maternal grandparents were Count of Luxembourg Siegfried and Hedwig of Nordgau. She had two brothers named Thierry III Count of Frisia and Adalbert Count de.  She is the oldest of the three children.


Adele's first family with Count Poitou Montreuil Engelram I

‌Adele and Count Poitou Montreuil were married in a religious ceremony in 1000.  They had a son named II Count Poitou Montreuil.


Adele's second family with III Count of Boulogne Baldwin

‌Adele and III Count of Boulogne were married in a religious ceremony about 1003.  They had a son named Eustace I.
