Carl Clyde Wilkes 
Carl Clyde was born on January 4th, 1887.1 Carl Clyde's father was George Washington Wilkes and his mother was Emma Ander Perkins. His paternal grandparents were Andrew Jackson Wilkes and Mary Ann (Polly) Basham. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Oscar Carl, Lacy Frank, Earnest Eugene, John Dewitt Talmage, Dora Hester, Mary and Pearl Hazel. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 30 on May 24th, 1917.1 -
