Mary Polly was born on August 27th, 1787 in Nelson Co., Kentucky.1 Mary Polly's father was Charles Skaggs and her mother was Lucinda Thompson. Her paternal grandparents were James Skaggs and Rachel Unknown; her maternal grandparents are John Thompson and Mary Unknown. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Archibald, Frederick, Thomas Thompson, Moses David, James, Rachel, Nancy, Semy Temperence, Sarah and Polly. She died at the age of 63 in 1850 in Jefferson Co., Missouri.1 General Notes
