Lewis Young was born on December 30th, 1865 in Green Co., Kentucky.1 Lewis Young's father was Henry David Skaggs and his mother was Ruth S. Salsman. His paternal grandparents were Stephen Skaggs and Rhoda Warren. He had a brother and six sisters, named Robert Joseph, Betty Alice, Virginia Ann, Mary Alice, Rhoda Ellen, Louisa Catherine and Emily Susan. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 69 on April 4th, 1935 in LaRue Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
