James B. Sams 
James B. was born in 1793 in Buncombe Co., North Carolina.1 James B.'s father was John Warren Sams and his mother is Agnes Blackwell. His paternal grandfather was James Sams and his paternal grandmother is Mary Agnes Warren. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Warren, Gabriel C., John Price, William H., Larkin, Mary Polly, Delitha, Orra, Miranda and Cloa Judith. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 48 in 1841 in Flag Pond, Tennessee.1 General Notes
