Robert Lee was born on February 27th, 1883 in Fisty, Knott, KY, USA.1 Robert Lee's father was Joshua Ritchie and his mother was Nancy Hall. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Grigsby Ritchie and Kissiah Smith. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Joseph R., Felix, William Gladstone, Abijah, Isaac Burton, Armelda, Elizabeth, Serrilda and Polly Ann. He was the third youngest of the ten children.
