Ruth Edna was born on January 25th, 1881 in Alvarado, Johnson Co., Texas.1 Ruth Edna's father was Joseph Benjamin Prestridge and her mother was Sarah Almeida Fenley. Her paternal grandparents were James Madison Prestridge and Emily S. Ezell; her maternal grandparents are John Fenley and Elizabeth Jane Nunn. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Joseph Russell, James Ezell, John Fenley, Willie Edmund, Imogene and Ila Dell. She was the second youngest of the seven children. She died at the age of 87 on April 6th, 1968 in Fort Worth, Tarrant Co., Texas.1 -
