[basham.ged] James Madison Prestridge was the eldest son of Joseph N & Elizabeth Ba gl ey Prestridge. They were residents of the Mississippi Territory when A lab ama was formed. As reflected in the Family Group Record preceeding, J ose ph N. died in Alabama in 1836, and Elizabeth B is buried in the Old Alvarado Cemetery. James Madison Prestridge was ordained a deacon of the Clear Fork Bap ti st Church in Alabama in 1849. The James Madison Prestridges left Choctaw County, Alabama in 1868. James Madison and Elizabeth Prestridge lived, at one time, on the Spar ks p lace, on the South League road (FM1807), about one mile east of Will ow Spr ings Baptist Church.
