Mahala Preston 
Mahala was born on September 20th, 1815 in Virginia.1 Mahala's father was Moses Preston and her mother was Ana (Sparkey) Amos. She had two brothers named David and Jubal. She was the oldest of the three children. She had three half-brothers named Lorenzo G., Mellon and Booker. She died at the age of 71 on January 18th, 1887 in Glasgow, Barren Co., Kentucky.
