John Hershel,Jr. was born on February 19th, 1913.1 John Hershel,Jr.'s father is John Herschel McCoy and his mother is Cecelia Burris. His paternal grandparents were George Washington McCoy and Margaret Keahey. He had a brother and three sisters, named George Colbert, Marguerite Cecilia, Katherine Lanell and Laura Ann. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 48 on June 19th, 1961.1 General Notes
