Gideon was born on June 15th, 1892 in Killeen, Bell, TX.1 Gideon's father was Whipple Wesson, Dr. McCorcle and his mother was Fannie L. Blackburn. His paternal grandparents were Archibald T. McCorcle and Carolina Eliza Matilda Cook Allen. He had a brother and a sister, named Jerico and Mary Elizabeth. He had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Denny Jenks, Port Ellis, Michael, Gideon, Lavinia and Hester Jennette.
