William Henry Knott 
William Henry was born on June 1st, 1884.1 William Henry's father was Frederick Martin Knott and his mother was Sarah Jane (Jennie) Payne. His paternal grandparents were Raphael (Ralph) Knott and Abigail Basham; his maternal grandparents are William Henry Payne and Mary Ann Mattingly. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Hilary O., James M., Proctor Paul, Ellen McDellan, Ethel McDellan, Margaret, Mary Ethyl and Alma. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 76 on August 11th, 1960.1 General Notes
