James M. Knott 
James M. was born on June 23rd, 1891.1 James M.'s father was Frederick Martin Knott and his mother was Sarah Jane (Jennie) Payne. His paternal grandparents were Raphael (Ralph) Knott and Abigail Basham; his maternal grandparents are William Henry Payne and Mary Ann Mattingly. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Hilary O., William Henry, Proctor Paul, Ellen McDellan, Ethel McDellan, Margaret, Mary Ethyl and Alma.
