Ruthie Belle was born on March 6th, 1898.1 Ruthie Belle's father was George Preston Keahey and her mother was Leona Melvina Guinn. Her paternal grandparents were Preston Gustavius Keahey and Amanda Cox. She had seven brothers and a sister, named Fred Howard, John Jackson, William Pleasant, George Leroy, Abe Kline, Homer Earl, Albert Elihu and Blanche.
