Nolen Altus was born on March 22nd, 1915.1 Nolen Altus' father was John Wesley Keahey and his mother was Vera S. Hughey. His paternal grandparents were Archibald Smith Keahey and Martha Elizabeth Robertson. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named John Winford, E. Vernon, Alton Winston, Gerald Clifford, Leon, L.
