John Winford Keahey 
John Winford was born on August 15th, 1903 in Buffalo, Leon Co., Texas.1 John Winford's father was John Wesley Keahey and his mother was Vera S. Hughey. His paternal grandparents were Archibald Smith Keahey and Martha Elizabeth Robertson. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named E. Vernon, Alton Winston, Gerald Clifford, Nolen Altus, Leon, L. B., Edwin Earl, Lorena, Lois E. and Audrey. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Unknown and Della. He died at the age of 79 on February 13th, 1983 in Roll, Oklahoma. He was buried in Slient Home Cemetery, Roll, Oklahoma.1 1 General Notes
