Irene LeJane Keahey 
Irene LeJane was born on May 4th, 1831 in Scott Co., Mississiippi.1 Irene LeJane's father was George Jackson Keahey and her mother was Margaret Keahey. Her paternal grandparents were John Keahey and Martha Jackson; her maternal grandparents were James Keahey and Mary Jane Jackson. She had three brothers and six sisters, named George Pleasant, Preston Gustavius, John Robert Jackson, Martha Graham, Margaret Malinda, Virginia Caroline, Sarah Emaline, Mary Ann Demarious and Christian Mason. She was the fifth oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 45 on February 26th, 1877 in Johnson Co., Texas.1 General Notes
