Annie Laurie was born on October 30th, 1905 in Arguta, Alabama.1 Annie Laurie's father was James Alfred,3rd Keahey and her mother was Jennie Gossett. Her paternal grandfather was John Mitchell Keahey and her paternal grandmother is Amanda Pilcher. She had five brothers and five sisters, named John William, Thomas Marion, Jay Mitchell, Grover Patterson, Joseph Donald, Mary Lou, Clara Mae, Jimmie Lee, Mattie Ruth and Nellie Jane.
