William Kelly Clendenen 
William Kelly was born on November 16th, 1890 in Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia.1 William Kelly's father was Mathew McMillen Clendenen and his mother was Nancy Jane Basham. His maternal grandparents were William Blane Basham and Mary Elizabeth Peters. He had five brothers and five sisters, named George G., Arglon Henry, John M., James B., W. Sebastian, Mary Elizabeth, Julia B., Lennie B., Emma and Della. He was the second youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 78 on June 15th, 1969 in Elizabethton, Carter Co., Tennessee.1 General Notes
