Gladys Grace was born on March 11th, 1915 in Wapenucka, Jonston Co., Oklahoma.1 Gladys Grace's father was James A. Garfield Cecil and her mother was Kate Means. Her maternal grandparents were Caleb Sewell Means and Docia Emeline Norris. She has five brothers and five sisters, named Paul Grissom, Clarence, James Haskell (Hack), Kent Byrn, William Russell, Evelyn Docia, Mary Aline, Roxie Ellis, Faye and Raye.
