Kate Means 
Kate was born on July 29th, 1884 in Clinton Co., Kentucky.1 Kate's father was Caleb Sewell Means and her mother was Docia Emeline Norris. Her paternal grandparents were Azel Means and Susan Wright. She had five brothers and eight sisters, named William Ezra, Azle Edra, James Eddy, Charles Bruce, Benjamine Snoddy, Ida Mahitabelle, Minnie Lee, Susan Mary, Lucy Ellen, Sally Elizabeth, Nellie Maude, Gustavia and Donna Alice. She was the seventh oldest of the fourteen children. She died at the age of 83 on January 15th, 1968 in Willacy Co., Texas.1 General Notes
