Earl Cranston Campbell 
Earl Cranston was born on March 11th, 1897 in McLeansboro, Hamilton Co., Illinois.1 Earl Cranston's father was Arthur Byrd Campbell and his mother was Lulu May Hill. His maternal grandparents were Samuel Porter Hill and Pernecy Wheeler. He had six brothers and two sisters, named William Hill, Sr., Claude Eugene, Arthur Goodsell, Orley Kenneth, Ario Basil, Austin Harrison, Thura Helen and Thelma Irene. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 72 in 1969 in Oakland, California.1 General Notes
