Thura Helen was born on August 5th, 1895 in McLeansboro, Hamilton Co., Illinois.1 Thura Helen's father was Arthur Byrd Campbell and her mother was Lulu May Hill. Her maternal grandparents were Samuel Porter Hill and Pernecy Wheeler. She had seven brothers and a sister, named Earl Cranston, William Hill, Sr., Claude Eugene, Arthur Goodsell, Orley Kenneth, Ario Basil, Austin Harrison and Thelma Irene. She was the oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 66 on January 18th, 1962 in Powell, Park Co., Wyoming.1 General Notes
