Margaret Elizabeth was born on March 24th, 1877 in Gonzales, Texas.1 Margaret Elizabeth's father was James Augustus Bouldin and her mother is Mary Carolina Elizabeth Holcombe. Her paternal grandfather was Green, Jr. Bouldin and her paternal grandmother is Margaret Ann Drivers. She had three brothers and a sister, named Lafayette, William G., James Pickney and Virginia Carolyn. She was the second youngest of the five children. She had five half-brothers and five half-sisters, and also a half-sibling of unknown gender, named Clinton T., Claude R., Guy J., Artie A., Weldon Bailey, Mary Ella, Nina M., Maudie Lou, Faye E., Thelma and E.
