S. E. Bassham 
S. E. was born about 1874 in Lawrence Co., Tennessee.1 S. E.'s father was William D. Bassham and her mother was Kisiah Roper. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Basham and Pheebee Pinnicuff. She had three brothers and two sisters, named J. Richard, Thomas Avery, L. J., Nancy E. (Or Doris E) and Sarah M.. She was the third youngest of the six children. She had six half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Russell Lyourfus, Jasper N. (Inspirit?), Solomon J. (Bud), William J., John S., V. E., Mary E., Cynthia (Frances), Phebe J. and Matilda Amanda.
