James William Bassham 
James William was born on July 15th, 1861 in Alabama.1 James William's father was Levi Sampson Bassham and his mother was Sarah Smith. His paternal grandparents were Richard Basham and Pheebee Pinnicuff. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Joseph C., John W., Briant Smith, Mary J., Martha Ann and Phebe J..
