Joseph C. Bassham 
Joseph C. was born on April 9th, 1849 in Tennessee.1 Joseph C.'s father was Levi Sampson Bassham and his mother was Sarah Smith. His paternal grandparents were Richard Basham and Pheebee Pinnicuff. He had three brothers and three sisters, named John W., James William, Briant Smith, Mary J., Martha Ann and Phebe J.. He was the oldest of the seven children.
