Chester Lafayette Bassham 
Chester Lafayette was born on June 11th, 1903 in Bonham, Fannin Co., Texas.1 Chester Lafayette's father was Edward Franklin (Edd) Bassham and his mother was Naoma Ann (Oma) Harvey. His paternal grandparents were Francis Marion (Frank) Bassham and Louisa Lucretia (Lucy) Popnoe. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Theylous 'Cullen', Arlie Doyle, Essie Mae and Nova Nell. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 60 on March 13th, 1964 in Ft Worth, Tarrant Co., Texas.1 General Notes
