William Robert (Rob) was born on January 24th, 1876 in Alabama.1 William Robert (Rob)'s father was George Washington Basham and his mother was Julia A. Verner. His paternal grandparents were Jonathan Basham and Elizabeth Hogan. He had a brother and a sister, named George Verner and Florence Clemmie. He was the oldest of the three children.
