Robert Houston Basham 
Robert Houston was born about February 1849 in Breckenridge Co., Kentucky.1 Robert Houston's father was Allen Dowell Basham and his mother was Malinda DALTON. His paternal grandparents were Obediah Basham and Celia Dowell. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named William Francis, Micajah, Daniel James, Henry Dalton, Allen Dowell II, Luther D. (Seth), Samuel Logan, Mary B. and Paulina Ellen. He was the second youngest of the ten children. He had four half-brothers named George Washington, Joseph Dempsey, Thomas McClellan (Tom) and Barksdale P.. He died after 1920.1 General Notes
