Thomas McClellan (Tom) was born on December 28th, 1863 in Clifton Mill, Breckenridge Co., Ky.1 Thomas McClellan (Tom)'s father was Allen Dowell Basham and his mother was Elizabeth D WOLF. His paternal grandparents were Obediah Basham and Celia Dowell. He had three brothers named George Washington, Joseph Dempsey and Barksdale P.. He was the second youngest of the four children. He had eight half-brothers and two half-sisters, named William Francis, Micajah, Daniel James, Henry Dalton, Allen Dowell II, Luther D. (Seth), Robert Houston, Samuel Logan, Mary B. and Paulina Ellen. He died at the age of 38 on January 10th, 1902 in Ohio Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
